Seattle Beginnings: Ross Post Office opens on July 30, 1888.

On July 30, 1888, Ross Post Office opens. Alfred J. Villers is the first postmaster. The post office is located within the future city limits of Seattle at approximately N Canal Street and Frances Avenue N.
After the area was annexed to Seattle, the post office closed on July 15, 1901.
